The stipend will be $600, half of which will be payable
at the beginning of an approved internship, and half upon completion
of all responsibilities for the internship. Applicants agree to
provide a summary of their internship experience for publication in
the chapter newsletter.
Applicants must be a regular or student member of InSLA, be
sponsored by a regular member of the Indiana Special Libraries Association
(InSLA), and have made arrangements for a library and information
science-related internship with an Indiana business, non-profit, or
educational institution.
Preference will be given to individuals holding or pursuing a
graduate degree offered by the Indiana University School of Library &
Information Science, or other American Library Association (ALA)
accredited graduate program. Preference may be given for considerations
including, an internship taking place at a special library or in a
non-traditional (non-library) setting, an internship emphasizing
professional and innovative application of library/information science
skills, and an internship which is non-compensated (unpaid) or which might
not be possible without support from the internship scholarship
stipend.
