Annual Conference Travel Award

The Indiana Chapter is again offering an Annual Conference Travel Award to enable a student member of InSLA to attend the SLA Annual Conference. (For more information, please see SLA’s Website www.sla.org).

To be eligible for this award, applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited graduate level library or information science program. Past recipients who have used their awards are not eligible.

The award criteria shall include future professional leadership potential in SLA and the profession, contributions to SLA and the Chapter, and financial need. The award recipient shall be chosen by the Board upon recommendation of the Chapter Outreach Committee. The recipient shall also be required to submit an article to the Chapter’s newsletter, SLANT, documenting their experience at the conference.

The award is $750.00 and can only be used to attend this conference. If for any reason the selected applicant cannot attend, the award must be returned to InSLA.

Deadline:
All materials must be received by March 15th. The application process consists of submitting the following form, a short essay and a resume. The essay, limited to no more than 400 words, will explain what the applicant hopes to gain by attending the annual conference. All materials shall be submitted via email to Cheryl Niemeier (CNiemeier@boselaw.com), Chair of the InSLA Outreach Committee.

B. Complete application, essay and provide a copy of resume.
C. Send the required material via email.
D. Ensure receipt by March 15.
