PROGRAM BACKGROUND:
Zoo librarian Suzanne Braun-McGee has taught a summer class for SLIS on resource collaboration with museums. Suzanne and Janine will give a tour of the Zoo Library and Gardens Resource Center and tell us how the zoo uses technology (computers, distance learning, etc.) to showcase the many materials, kits, and programs that the Zoo and Gardens offers. We will also be permitted to meet a small animal or two!

MEETING AGENDA:

• 12:45 p.m. Registration
• 1:00 p.m. Presentation by Ms. Braun-McGee will begin promptly
• 1:30 p.m. Technology demonstration; electronic connection with Ms. Orr at the Greenwood Public Library

ZOO DIRECTIONS:
Driving Directions are available at: http://www.indyzoo.com/visitor_info/map_directions.asp Parking will be free. Just tell the parking attendant that you are attending the InSLA program in the Education Center. The building that houses the Education Center is located to the right of the zoo entrance from the parking lot. Entering the zoo itself is not required and no zoo entrance fee will be required to attend the meeting. However, visiting the zoo is encouraged! Lunch is not included but the zoo offers individual picnic baskets by arrangement.

ZOO RSVP: RSVP is not required but is encouraged. Maximum attendance is 50. Groups of more than 25 zoo attendees receive a 20% discount on zoo admission fees. RSVP by Monday, October 14 to qualify.
